Our spring baseball program allows children ages 3-12 the opportunity to learn the game of baseball in a safe and fair environment. Our Coaches are hand selected and have went through vigorous training. Each volunteer of the Johnson City American Little League has been background checked and interviewed to make sure they are fully capable of the fundamental development of our players. The regular season usually goes from April to June. We look forward to seeing everyone on the field!
Wee-Ball: Ages 3/4
Tee-Ball: Ages 4/5/6
Our Tee-Ball & Wee-Ball programs are a great starting point for players who want to learn baseball. In each league, players hit a ball off a batting tee. No live pitching is permitted. The primary goal is to teach players the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork.
Our Coach Pitch baseball division is for players who want to continue developing the fundamentals of hitting and fielding, building from the Tee-Ball division. In Coach Pitch, a coach delivers pitches to the batter, replacing the use of a tee. Basic hitting, fielding, and throwing fundamentals are stressed. There is a player evaluation and draft for Coach Pitch.
Minors: Ages 9-12
Majors: Ages 10-12
Minor & Major divisions are player-pitch baseball. The Minor division is the next step after Coach Pitch, continuing to build on the fundamentals taught in lower levels. Our Major division is for players who wish to continue after Minor play and will be expected to demonstrate a more advanced skill set. Both divisions require a player evaluation and draft.
